Digital Church is looking for a freelance developer to help develop the Digital Church Platform. While most of our clients are churches, we also work with non-profit organizations, denominations, para-church organizations, and church leaders. As a freelance developer at Digital Church, you’ll be asked to write code to maintain and improve our main wordpress plugin, client-specific snippets and plugins, and help us begin to develop new features like native applications, REACT based website modules, etc.
Position Summary
This is a project-based contract position, so there are no set hours. You will be required to track and submit your time using Everhour & Asana. All tasks will be assigned to you in Asana where the bulk of communication will take place. You will be paid during the first week of each month for hours submitted during the previous month, based on a flat monthly rate. Our starting rate is $40/hr.
Required Skills
- Ability to provide a public SSH key and use of the command line.
- Ability to write and test code in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong communication skills and clear documentation of time spent.
- Passion for working with Christian churches and non-profit organizations.
Ideal Candidates
- Ability to develop custom Beaver Builder modules.
- Ability to build native mobile apps using Swift & Kotlin.
